Can you help make the museum a reality?

We need your help in making A Museum of Black Experiences a reality.

Similar to food deserts, there are cultural deserts – places that don’t provide enough options to explore one’s culture or the culture of others. A Museum of Black Experiences is located in Saginaw, MI and provides a local, more affordable option where residents and visitors can experience well-curated exhibits of Black art, culture, and history throughout the entire year.  In fact, the museum has access to more than 6,000 pieces of Black art, Black memorabilia, and ephemera, and many of these items will be on display.

While we pursue the vision of a new museum, it comes at a time when politicians, school boards, and some parents are attempting to rewrite history and ban books. Equity demands that we create opportunities to learn about the cultures in the places where we live.

Can you make a generous donation to help us exceed our fundraising goal? Can you donate today?

As we add to our financial capacity, we will add professional, paid staff/consultants who can aid the work of the museum's board of directors and volunteer advisory team.

If you haven't already decided, consider making a donation today.

Can we count on you?
